Emerging Markets Series: Indonesia And Philippines Reports Now Available On Reportsandreports

As the developed markets are becoming increasingly mature, Pharma is turning to the emerging markets, where long-term growth can be sustained. Of particular interest are Indonesia and the Philippines, which are currently going through major reforms to expand their healthcare systems; however there are key differences between these two markets.

Scope
*Provides a comparative overview of recent events affecting the macroeconomic and pharmaceutical landscape
*Examines different drivers and resistors for growth in Indonesia and the Philippines
*Analyzes the growth drivers of multinational and domestic players operating in these markets
*Identifies key strategies for entry and expansion in these markets

Highlights
The global economic downturn has impacted Indonesia, albeit at a lesser extent than developed countries. Indonesia’s economic prowess has resulted in the country potentially joining the top tier of emerging markets including Brazil, Russia, India and China in the near future, as these are to grow at a faster rate than developed countries.
With the introduction of a single South East Asian market via the free trade agreement Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) from 2011, in addition to a full universal insurance coverage in the Philippines and Indonesia by 2010 and 2013, respectively, the opportunity of pharmaceutical players to maximize sales will increase.
Domestic pharmaceutical companies in both Indonesia and the Philippines are ideal M&A targets for multinationals looking to enter or expand in these markets. This is due to their double digit sales growth, which will be further fuelled by the growing demand for low cost medicine as healthcare coverage expands.

Reasons to Purchase
*Understand how recent events and trends will affect the pharmaceutical markets in Indonesia and the Philippines
*Gain insight into which companies are growing rapidly and what strategies they have employed
*Identify the opportunities and barriers to entering pharma markets in Indonesia and the Philippines

Dear Chinese…do u regard the Japanese/ Koreans and Taiwanese as part of the Chinese ethnic big family?

i know that within the Chinese community, there are many different ethnicities like Han, Hui and so on…and they speak different dialects too

what about the Japanese/ Koreans/Taiwanese? they look like Chinese people to me…similar features and skin colour…and Korea is “neighbour” to China right?

anyway, i am a Malay from Malaysia…and we Malays also have different ethnicities like Bugis/ Boyan/ Java etc…and we grouped ourselves as “Malay” living in the Malay Archipelago (Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia and parts of ASEAN countries)
correction – Korea, Taiwan and Japan are neighbours to China right?

You’re right to say that there are many ethnics groups that’s considered as Chinese. Among them, they may look very different. China has consider all races to be Chinese so long as their land is in Chinese territory (not bcoz they looks alike) Japs & Koreans came from same ancestor as Chinese however they have been separated with them since long time ago. The others Non-Hans are made Chinese when they & their territory (land) has been absorbed by China (at different era)… Overseas Chinese are also Chinese except they held a different nationality.
Some people said return Tibet freedom (Let Tibetan rule Tibet) but Tibet has been in the territory for many hundred years until British took advantage of China’s internal conflicts to declare “Independant” but this move was never recognised by the Chinese (see link below)
Who’s the one always conquer people’s land in history I think we experience the best as in the Malay Archipelago. The best part is… did they help us to fight the Jap’s invasion (1942~1945)? They did even try much… Just pack & go home…
Chinese dare recognise their weakness & mistake by waiting til 97 & 99 to collect back HK & Macau back from the British & Portugese respectively.
Now they (west) wanna make history repeat (8 countries combined force against Chinese troops?) trying to separate Tibet, XinJiang, Mongolia, Taiwan away from China? Fat hope…
