What is the best way to move from countries of Asia and Australia (most of them are separated by water)?

Hi I want a backpack across Asia. I intend to go somewhat in this order: Venezuela (where I live) -> Los Angeles -> Hawaii -> Japan (Tokyo, Osaka) -> South Korea (Seoul) -> China (Xian, Shanghai, Beijing) – Taiwan> (Taipei) -> Hong Kong – Philippines -> Thailand -> Malaysia -> Paris -> Indonesia -> Papua New Guinea -> Australia (Sydney) -> New Zealand -> Fiji -> and back home … Most of these places are separated by water, and I suppose airline tickets I will travel expensive (as far as I know), but I do not know if there are ways to make part of the trip by ferry or something …. Ideas???? (Or the scene, I have to see, tips for saving on housing, etc. ..) Thanks !!!!!
