Backache treatments with herbs and essential oils
LUMBAGO treatment
By Jeanne Rose
INTRODUCTION:
Some years ago I had chronic back pain. Sometimes I could not walk properly as my leg loop of the pain that radiated into my back. At that time, during the days I lived in Big Sur, surgery was recommended to fuse the vertebrae to relieve pain. Finally, with the help of others who have suffered from back pain, I developed a formula to treat back pain. In all cases where it was constantly used, the pain and disabling effects disappeared.
Exercise is the key. However, wait until that the back pain before starting your exercise program. The stomach muscles must be strengthened to support the low back. Many books describe excellent exercise exercises to strengthen the back. The simplest is where you are on a firm surface with your back flat against the surface, knees bent. Draw one knee toward your chest, around the leg, knee to the outside and lay it flat as possible along the body and slowly straighten the leg to that both legs are parallel. To do this ten times on each side twice a day. Walk as much as possible – a comfortable use of appropriate footwear. Sitting is the worst thing you can do. If your job requires a lot of sitting, is, stretch at least every thirty minutes, and always keep knees higher than hips. Never put your feet flat on the floor – use a footstool to raise your knees.
Treatments herbal supplements include herbal which must be composed of different herbs like comfrey leaf (Use only Symphytum officinale), alfalfa sprouts, oat straw, and rosemary leaves the form of capsules, tablets, tea or extract. They provide micronutrients that are useful. These herbs can be discussed in more detail by reading Herbs & Things by Jeanne Rose
External herbal compresses Kings Fern, ginger root, rosemary leaves and root of comfrey (Symphytum officinalis Use only) will relieve pain and stimulate circulation.
Antispasmodic mixtures of herbs can be considered as a tea. Michael Tierra recommends a combination of pine-Prince (umbels Chimaphila) Valerian, Lobelia, and ginger root and marshmallow root. Simmer two ounces of herbs in two quarts of water for thirty minutes and then take a cup both at least three times a day until relief is obtained.
